New 2010/2011 Gold Seal Training Schedule Canadian Construction Institute Inc. (CCI) is synonymous with training, consulting, and arbitration and mediation services. CCI has successfully trained over 5,000 owners, managers and supervisors since 1992. Derm McNulty, President, has been owner of a construction company for 18 years and for the past eight years as mediator, instructor and consultant. Don White, Vice President, has 40 years experience in the construction industry as manager and owner (24 years). Our instructors are still in the industry as managers and consultants, and have extensive knowledge and background in the discipline they instruct. We have acted as facilitators, instructors, and consultants for private corporations, construction associations, Business Development Bank of Canada, Provincial and Federal government agencies, Human Resources Development Canada, and the Safety Network and Worksafe BC. CCI and its associate company, Conflict and Decision Management Centre, have been arbitrating, mediating, and negotiating construction-related disputes since 1992. Don White was committee chair for new mediation regulation changes for the Provincial Government, lobbyist for mediation associations, and author of articles relating to dispute avoidance and dispute resolution for various construction newsletters and periodicals. Derm McNulty was Vice President of the UBC Faculty of Law CORE program, past mediator with John Howard Society and conflict resolution and negotiations facilitator for First Nations Communities.
